I know, I know. I usually write these posts near the end of the month, but it’s already mid-July. Other deadlines, travel, and work have thrown me off a bit. But here’s what I’ve been up to…
Reading: Birnham Wood by Eleanor Catton.
Video: A documentary on the Automat that came out a while ago.
Art: Georgia O’Keeffe: To See Takes Time at MoMA.
Tr(eats): More ice cream than usual. Cherry tomatoes and mushrooms from the farmers market.
Drinks: Campari and soda.
Beauty Products: Adwoa Melon-berry Frizz-Fighting Smoothing Gel for curly hair. Jones Road The Face Pencil. Juice Beauty SPF lip balm.
Garb: I’ve just revived a pair of very old Doc Martens sandals that I’ve had stashed at the back of my closet for ages. Proof, again, that everything looks cool again if you just wait long enough.
Pleasures: Late-June birthday socializing. Small-world moments of connection. My first real pedicure since last summer.
Plans: Bring a few bags of clothing to the local consignment shop. Get a haircut. Enjoy a short summer break from some side-hustle projects so I can just do more pleasure-reading…and blogging!
