Local Boy Makes Good: the artist and Jersey City native KAWS, born Brian Donnelly, is the subject of a retrospective exhibition opening this Friday (2/26) at the Brooklyn Museum. It was curated by Eugenie Tsai and covers KAWS's career from the 1990s to 2021, from his early graffiti sketches and designs (like this one, which apparently ended up in JC's Newport neighborhood) to brand-new paintings, large-scale sculptures, and an augmented reality app. He's come a long way since hopping the PATH turnstiles at Journal Square. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Go see it! ! โœ–๏ธโœ–๏ธ
