I mentioned this in an earlier post, but now it’s gone “live” — my presentation on “Five Iconic Fragrances of the 20th Century” was accepted into the New Jersey Council for the Humanities’ Public Scholars Project for 2020 and I’ll be offering it at various venues around New Jersey (my home state!).
If you’re based in New Jersey and you know of a local organization that would be available to host me, here’s what you can do…
Via the NJCH:
“The New Jersey Council for the Humanities is accepting applications for Public Scholars Project programs to take place between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. All applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the earliest requested date.
To be eligible to host a subsidized PSP session, an organization must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit or government organization located in New Jersey. Programs are frequently hosted by libraries, historical societies, museums, civic associations, public agencies, senior centers, and other community groups. All organizations that apply must agree to keep the program free and open to the public.”
Once an organization is approved as a host, their only cost for the program is a $50 administrative fee.
If you think your local library, etc. (NJ only!) would be interested in hosting my program, please ask them to contact the New Jersey Council for the Humanities at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the NJCH website for further details.
I’m also happy to give this talk at locations beyond NJ— just contact me directly for that.
Thanks for spreading the word!
