Reading: Muriel Barbery’s A Single Rose (despite the terrible cover art)
Video: Revisiting some favorites from Wes Anderson’s oeuvre.
Audio: I went through one of my frequent David Bowie binges earlier this month, in honor of the day that would have been Bowie’s 75th birthday.
Art: I haven’t gotten out to any museums lately, but I’m figuring out how to rearrange some wall art at home, including some vintage perfume ads that need to be framed. Does that count?
(Tr)eats: We recently started ordering delivery from a local Bangladeshi restaurant and a local Sri Lankan restaurant. I feel lucky to have easy access to such tasty menus.
Drinks: Yogi Tea Elderberry Lemon Balm Immune + Stress herbal tea, with honey. It can’t hurt.
Beauty Products: Heavy-duty lip balms: C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm, Anna Sui Lip Treatment Pen (why did they discontinue this?!), Dr. Dan Cortibalm because the dry indoor heat has messed up my entire mouth area to the point of itchiness. Argh.
Garb: The weather unexpectedly turned appropriately cold, and then some, so I’ve dragged out my beloved vintage faux-cheetah coat. I didn’t have a chance to wear it last winter.
Pleasures: Reorganizing my home workspace, something that really needed to be done. Giving a fashion/fragrance tour of the Dior exhibition at work. Chatting via Zoom with some far-flung fragrance friends. Seeing a longtime (non-fragrance) friend who made a weekend visit to NYC.
Plans: Keep moving on my home reorganization project…Rome wasn’t built in a day. Stay hydrated. Give another Dior scent tour. Maybe get back to blogging here more regularly!
