This month flew by. I almost forgot to do a “round-up” post!
Reading: Patricia Lockwood, No One Is Talking About This.
Video: The new season of Better Call Saul.
Art: King Pleasure, a new Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibition at Manhattan’s Starrett-Lehigh Building.
Audio: The Spotify playlists created for that Basquiat exhibition.
Tr(eats): Sometimes, when I’m rushing through Port Authority, all I want is a bagel with cream cheese from Zaro’s. (Their staff is starting to recognize me.)
Drinks: Homemade Negronis. Chamomile tea.
Beauty Products: A fancy new hand-cream from Paul & Joe, in a tube with a cat on it. I’m so predictable.
Garb: Boots, before the weather gets too warm and I start looking weird in them. My beloved embroidered denim coat. Protean London fabric head-bands in the evening when I want my hair out of my face.
Pleasures: I can not tell a lie: being interviewed for Vogue was pretty exciting. I also made the most of a “staycation” week to do some writing and see a friend for a cocktail and visit some museums that I don’t work at.
Plans: More writing assignments coming my way in May! Another Warhol scent tour. A mini-getaway to the Hudson Valley. Enjoying NYC in its springtime glory.
