Reading: Kindred by Octavia Butler, just because I’ve never read any of her work.
Video: Spiderhead, based on a story by George Saunders. (Should have skipped it and just re-read the story instead.) A new season of Endeavour.
Art: A long-overdue visit to the Museum of Arts and Design to see Garmenting and an installation of floral-inspired objects. (I spent so much time at MAD in the six months prior to the pandemic that I’ll never be able to go there without feeling really lost in time.)
Audio: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, for its recent 50th anniversary.
Tr(eats): Strawberries and cherries every day right now.
Drinks: I got a little stovetop kettle with a thermometer so I can make my pour-over morning coffee even better than it already is. Is this a point of no return?
Beauty Products: A fresh tub of LUSH Rosy Cheeks mask, perfect for June.
Garb: A new black midi? maxi? sundress that I can wear under other layers. Summer, me-style.
Pleasures: Making dates with friends for chats and cocktails. Attending a fundraiser for Cat Republic, one of my favorite non-profits! Stopping by a perfume event or two.
Plans: Have some friends over for a mid-summer get-together. Blog more often in July than I did in June!
