Better late than never, I suppose?
Reading: Nightmare Alley by William Lindsay Gresham. (A Christmas present, because that’s how we roll here.)
Audio: I finally bought a pair of wireless earbuds, just because my new phone doesn’t have a headphone jack. Ah well. It’s nice to be able to listen to my music on the PATH train again. And I just made a short playlist to accompany an upcoming talk about romantic scents.
Video: Tár, starring Cate Blanchett. Of course.
Tr(eats): I visited a Salt & Straw shop on my recent trip to San Diego and really enjoyed their Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/ Black Pepper ice cream. At Common Stock (also in San Diego), I had a much-needed gin cocktail called Princess & The Peaflower.
Drinks: See above. Also, lots of hot ginger tea with Brooklyn-grown honey.
Beauty Products: Hot baths with C. O. Bigelow Herbal Comfort Soak, to chase away a winter cold. Silver eyeliner for evening events. New favorite hair item: Function of Beauty Zero Gravity Hair Styling Mousse.
Garb: A black-on-black dress with a star pattern is my go-to garment right now.
Pleasures: A night at the ballet with friends. Several opportunities to talk about scent and style and art.
Plans: Mugler scent tours at work! Plus, attending some other folks’ events and even visiting other museums, for a change. Meeting a longtime friend for dinner (in Manhattan!) one night this week.

Happy February! Are Salt & Straw no longer carrying the “edible perfumes” that were a collaboration with Imaginary Authors last summer? Either way, that ice cream sounds fantastic.
