Passing Fancies ~ December 2018

Is it already mid-December?!

Reading: I’m in the middle of Edwidge Danticat’s remarkable novel The Dew Breaker, from a recent Boxwalla “book box.”

Audio: After hearing a recent interview with Dolly Parton on NPR, I’m finally digging deeper into her impressive musical output. Better late than never!

Art: I need to get tickets to the Andy Warhol show at the Whitney.

Video: “The Kindergarten Teacher” with Maggie Gyllenhaal

Eats & Treats: Too much Christmas candy lately. On the other hand, I’m eating healthier veggie-based lunches to balance it out!  hah.

Drink: Mr. PP brought home some Victory Winter Cheers and we’ve been enjoying it.

Garb: Fleecy black jacket from Uniqlo. Fluevog black ankle boots, finally broken in after a year or so! And I need some replacement black cardigans for ones I’ve worn to rags. (Why is there no middle ground between teensy skinny-fitted cardigans and giant slouchy-sloppy cardigans?)

Beauty Products: Protecting my skin as the air turns colder and drier, with facial oils from H is for Love and Aroma M

Pleasure: Dinners with friends, holiday gift-shopping (my list is short and sweet), shared happiness in some good work-related news that Mr. PP received.

Worry: Endless transit delays, not enough days in the week…the usual.
