My recent virtual lecture on fragrance and Studio 54 has been featured in an article in VOGUE, with lots of quotes from me, musing on perfume as an element of style and a means of self-expression.
Many thanks to Lauren Valenti of VOGUE, not to mention my ever-amazing colleagues at the Brooklyn Museum. This was a special opportunity to combine all my interests in an event for the Museum and I’m so glad we were able to make it happen, despite everything.
Here’s a link to the article. Come on in!

I am glad to see your presentation recognized – it was very nuanced, just like the excellent scent samples from the talk. I hope many more visitors will come to the exhibit and some will also ask questions about perfume then and now!
