Reading: OREO by Fran Ross, with thanks to Boxwalla for this pick
Video: Pretend It’s a City, the Fran Lebowitz limited-series documentary by Martin Scorsese (required viewing!!)
Audio: Lots of Bowie, for something familiar during this stressful moment
(Tr)eats: It’s a big winter for bean dishes in our household; some purchased at our favorite local eatery, some made at at home
Drinks: Mr. Professor has been bringing back some tasty winter ales and stouts from the local liquor store
Garb: New black boots from Embassy London, to replace several old pairs of boots I’ve finally tossed because they just couldn’t be repaired anymore
Beauty Products: A few makeup items from a recent Alima Pure sale (not as great as I thought they’d be) and a John Frieda drugstore mousse for curly hair (much better than you might expect)
Pleasures: Getting mentioned in The New York Times was a not-so-small thrill, I’ll admit. Thanks, Brooklyn Brainery!
Plans: Sitting tight this week, just wishing and hoping for a peaceful transition in Washington, D.C.
