Today is my birthday. The past year has been…disorienting? frightening? simultaneously suspenseful and stagnant? but also a time of unexpected small pleasures and strengthened connections that felt more important than ever before. I’m grateful for every one of you who has kept reading and commenting here. I value our shared appreciation of fragrance, art, and all other sensory experiences and forms of creativity that make us think more deeply about the beauty and fragility of our lives.
I hope the coming year will be a happy and healthy (and well-scented) one for all of us.
